Is the portal gateway POE compliant?

Answer

Older square silver Wi-Q Portal Gateways require a PoE Inserter and Splitter to use Power over Ethernet (PoE). Newer smaller black rectangular portals are PoE compliant and support the following power options:

  • DC Input: 12VDC ±10%, 500mA
  • PoE: IEEE 802.3af Compliant, Class 2
