| Which set of RQE wires do I hook up? One is labeled “Case” and one is labeled “Cover"? |
Answer You only need to connect to the RQE wires that are shorted out by turning the inside lever. If the “Cover” which has a screw in each of the 4 corners of the lock body is facing the inside of the door then connect the “Cover” wires. This would be for a RH or RHRB handed door. If the “Case” which does not have the screws in each of the 4 corners of the lock body is facing the inside of the door then connect the “Case” wires. This would be for a LH or LHRB handed door. |
Additional information The unused RQE wires can be left coiled up inside the mortise pocket behind the lock case. |
