  • The communication server may abruptly crash during an offline lock download.

  • There is no error message displayed during the crash.

  • This issue is caused by a corrupted BESTOfflineSeries.sdf file.

Resolution

The BESTOfflineSeries.sdf file is corrupted. You need to delete this file and restart the communication service.

  1. Stop the Communication Service
    • Open Services (press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter).

    • Locate BEST Communication Service (or similar).

    • Right-click and select Stop.

  2. Delete the Corrupted File

    •  Navigate to:
      C:\ProgramData\BEST Access\BEST Transport\BESTOfflineSeries.sdf

    • Delete BESTOfflineSeries.sdf.

  3. Restart the Communication Service
    • Return to Services.

    • Right-click the BEST Communication Service and select Start.

  4. Verify Operation

    • Attempt to download offline locks again.

    • Confirm the communication server no longer crashes.
