Troubleshooting: Keypad EZ Door Staying Unlocked (Passage Mode Enabled)

If your Keypad EZ lock remains unlocked, the device may have been accidentally placed into Passage Mode. Passage Mode keeps the door unlocked until it is manually disabled.

Answer

Step 1: Check if the lock is in Passage Mode

  1. Enter 00# followed by your Admin Code and press #.

Observation:
If the red indicator light remains on, the lock may currently be in Passage Mode.

To exit Passage Mode, enter 99#. If the door locks after entering this command, the lock was previously in Passage Mode.

Recommendation: Update the Admin Code

To prevent the door from being unintentionally placed into Passage Mode again, it is recommended to change the Admin Code and convert the old code into a standard user code.

Step 2: Change the Admin Code and Convert the Old Code to a User Code

00#Enter current Admin Code followed by #Red indicator light should stay on
20#Enter new Admin Code followed by #Re-enter the new Admin Code and press # again
10#Enter the old code followed by #Press # again to program it as a user code
99#Exit programming mode
