Commercial Hardware Mortise Cylinder Configurations for BEST 45 H and 45HW

Single-Keyed Function Additional Notes

  • The standard 1-1/8” cylinder length will work with sectional trim.
  • The cylinder cam selection will be irrelevant, as the end user will be required to replace it with the ILCO #19 cam shown above.
  • The STCH collar assembly will require the use of both a spacer and a wavy washer (both included in the kit).

Single-Keyed Function Escutcheon Notes

  • Escutcheon trim will require a longer cylinder. The 1-3/8” cylinder length is going to be equal to a BEST 1E74 cylinder.
  • A collar will not be required for this application. They can use a wavy washer (B34115) if desired. The wavy washer can help with spacing when using J trim.
  • The cylinder cam selection will be irrelevant as the end user will be required to replace it with the ILCO #19 cam shown above.

Double-Keyed Function Additional Notes

Holdback Function with Sectional Trim: Additional Notes

  • The standard 1-1/8” cylinder length will work with double-keyed functions with sectional trim.
  • This function will require both cylinders to be ordered with the E straight cam option. Each lock will require one cylinder with the ILCO #19 and one with the E straight cam.
  • The E straight cam will be used on the outside cylinder.
  • The straight cam is replacing the unique C293, as we do not have a C293 alternate for the STCH cylinder at this time.
  • The STCH collar assembly will require the use of both a spacer and a wavy washer (both included in the kit).
  • Double-keyed functions will require an additional 3/16” thick spacer as shown above.

Holdback Function with Escutcheon Trim: Additional Notes

  • Escutcheon trim will require a longer cylinder. The 1-3/8” cylinder length is going to be equal to a BEST 1E74 cylinder.
