MLR Retrofit Compatibility by Device

Answer

A conversion kit is available to retrofit existing PHI 2000 series devices with the MLR. 

Retrofit Kit

• Required Kit: MLR Retrofit Kit
• Part Number: MLR-K   

Power Supply Requirement

• A 24 VDC, 1 amp power supply is required.
• The ELR150 power supply is not supported and must not be used.
• The required power supply must be ordered separately.

Compatibility Limitations

The MLR retrofit kit cannot be installed on devices configured with any of the following:

• Delayed Egress (DE)
• Alarm kits, including:
  • ALK
  • ALW
  • WALW

Additional Information

Compatibility Rule

Motorized latch retraction is not compatible with mechanical dogging. 

Both features cannot be installed or used simultaneously on the same device.

Required Action for Existing Devices

If the device had hex or cylinder dogging, the dogging assembly will have to be removed. 

Hinge Filler Requirement 

After removal of the dogging assembly:

• A new plain hinge filler with no dogging hole.
• refer to the part numbers below.

Device Length Restrictions

• 2 ft 6 in devices or 3 ft devices that have been cut down to any non-standard length
• 4 ft devices that have been cut down to a finished length of less than 40 inches
