A: The APEX 2000 is a heavy-duty grade 1 exit device. The APEX 2000 has a solid reputation for strength and reliability; all working mechanisms are encased in solid brass, bronze, aluminum or stainless steel housing incorporating true architectural finishes. The APEX 2100 rim type exit device successfully completed ten million operational cycles far exceeding the minimum 500,000 cycles required by Grade 1 standards.

A: The APEX 2000 is ideal for institutional applications such as educational, government and healthcare facilities.
Q: What device types is the APEX 2000 offered in?
A: The APEX 2000 is available in Rim (wide/narrow), SVR-Surface Vertical Rod, CVR-Concealed Vertical Rod (wide/narrow), wood door CVR and mortise types.
Q: Are mullions available to order for APEX 2000 double door rim applications?
A: The 822 & 811 Series mullions are available to order for these application types.
Q: Are there electrified options available for the APEX 2000?
A: There are 7 electrified options available to order on the APEX 2000 which includes Exit Alarm (ALK), Delayed Egress (DE), Door Position Monitoring Switch (DS), Electric Device (E), Electric Latch Retraction (ELR), Latchbolt Monitoring Switch (LS) and Touchbar Monitoring Switch (TS).
Q: What door thickness range can the APEX 2000 accommodate?
A: The APEX 2000 is standard to fit 1 ¾” – 2 ¼” thick doors. Thicker door options are available upon request.
Q: What door height range can the APEX 2000 accommodate?
A: The APEX 2000 SVR is available to order for 6’ 8” - 10’ doors.
Q: What door width range can the APEX 2000 accommodate?
A: The APEX 2000 can accommodate 2’ 6” – 4’ wide doors.
Q: What exit trims are available to order for the APEX 2000?
A: Vandal resistant lever, knob and pull trims are available to order for the APEX 2000. The vandal resistant lever does not require lever reset.
Q: What lever styles are offered for APEX 2000 trims?
A: The APEX 2000 has 4 standard lever style offerings (i.e., A, B, C & D). In addition, 20 decorative lever styles are available.
Q: Do you have to specify handing when ordering an APEX 2000?
A: You must specify handing when ordering an APEX 2000. However, most are field reversible.
Q: What keyways are available to order on the APEX 2000?
A: Cylinders are not included when you order APEX 2000 devices. They must be ordered separately. The APEX 2000 accommodates most manufacturers’ rim and mortise cylinders.
Q: What finishes are offered for the APEX 2000?
A: The APEX 2000 is available in 7 finishes: 605, 606, 612, 613, 625, 628 and 630.
