When the software is installed on a new computer or the computer named is changed, additional places within BASIS/OnGuard software have to be updated to reflect the change in the computer name.

Workstation name for the access panels
- Login to System Administration
- Click on the Access Control drop-down menu
- Click on the Workstation option in the drop-down menu
- Click on the Offline tab
- Click on the Modify button
- Update the workstation name to match the new computer name.
- Click on the ok button to save the changes.

Update the workstation name for the peripherals such as encoders/scanners
- Login to System Administration
- Click on the Administration Drop-down menu
- Click on the Workstation option
- Click on the Add button
- Add the new workstation name which is the computer name.
- Click on the OK button to save the changes.
- Click on the encoders/scanners tab.
- Update the workstation name for the encoder. Click on the encoder in the list and click the Modify button.
- Update the workstation name in the encoder.
- Click the OK button to save the changes.
