Q: What door thickness range can the 8K accomodate? A: The 8K comes preset from the factory to fit 1 ¾” thick doors but can be field adjusted to fit 1 3/8” – 2” thick doors. Additionally, the lock assembly can be modified to accommodate doors up to 3” thick using a special rose trim (E). Q: How is the BEST 8K knob made? Q: What finish are offered for the 8K? A: The 8K is available in 10 finishes: Standard (626, 690, 622), Satin (606, 612, 613, 619), and Bright (605, 611, 625, 618). An anti-microbial coating can be added to these finishes. Also note that 613 is a living finish that ages over time. |
Q: How hard is it to install the 8K? A: The 8K is very easy to install and can be done in a few minutes or less once the door is prepped. The 8K fits the common cylindrical (161) door prep. The installation requires two screws which are used for the latch only. Once the latch is installed, one must simply slide the chassis through the 2 1/8” diameter hole and snap the inside knob onto the inside |
